    Hello All,

Could someone just post a quick link to a step by step guide to XMLTV guide setup please with all the mapping etc. Just installed 1.15 because my radiotimes XMLTV seems to have stopped working. Sure it is something dumb I am doing but there we go.

    Thanks,

    Lacanox

Not sure about free ones other than using the built in epg grabbing from tuner or webepg plugin (schedulesdirect do uk i think now but could not find an easy way to use it ), i use digiguide myself but thats around 14.99 a year.

Thank you to both wizard123 & lisag. I think I will use digiguide. I used to use that when I had a digitv set up. Sorry to be a further nuisance how do you do the password & username bit for digiguide within mediaportal please. So I use media portal TV server config tool, but how do I get to enter the password & username so it will download the digiguide xml file please,

    thanks again

I use XMLTV GUI to scrape from digiguide for windows
    http://www.birtles.org.uk/xmltv/

    • The DG2XML skin must also be installed, this can be downloaded from http://www.birtles.org.uk/xmltv/DG2XML_skin.zip there is no need to set the skin as your default skin.
    • Activate the webservice in the Digiguide application and set a password.
    • In the grabber enter the url for the digiguide service and your password.

OK I am obviously being immensly dumb here so sorry for that. "In the grabber enter the url for the digiguide service and your password." Do you mean in the XMLTV GUI? Or is that under the TV server Configuration/DVB EPG/Grabbers? Where excactly do I do this please? Thank you again sorry for dumbness.

I have purchased 2 year sub for Digiuide, & installed it on my computer. I have downloaded digiguide & enabled webservice. In DG2XML_skin.zip folder after extracting it to my computer I can find no DG2XML.exe file. As I was directed in the readme text file.

    Can you help please?

Open xmltv gui and in settings you cn select which grabber to use, select digiguide then there is an options button for that grabber where you enter the details.
