Live HD TV with Hauppauge WinTV-HVR5500 (1 Viewer)

Hello guys,

As you can read in the title I'm using a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR5500 TV card to watch digital cable tv (DVB-C). I'm using MP 1.2.2.0. If I compare the quality of HD channels, like ZDF HD (Im from Germany) between MP and the original WinTV software I recognize differences. They may not be significat, but you definately see it if you compare both. My question: What to do about it, is there a way to improvie the quality? Maybe another video encover? Thanks in advance.

And I want to ask a 2nd thing, maybe one of you guys can help me there too. As mentioned I'm using the Hauppauge WinTV-HVR5500 TV card which comes with a remote that I wanna use too of course. When i try to select the Hauppauge remote in the options it tells me that the IR components are not installed. But they are. I can use the remote with the WinTV software fluently.... so whats the problem here? :/

there's an IR32.exe descripted. I downloaded an installed it. Restart. Now I can choose the Hauppauge remote in the options. I tried to use the default settings. But when I start MP I can't navigate, no buttons are working + the remote now also doesnt work in the Win TV software which I did before. Even if disable it in MP settings. Driver.. ? Please help me.
