Hello,

When I switch TV to an HD chanel or want to view a recorded HD video, the playback start but without video/sound. I have to stop the playback to return to mediaportal menu.
It is working with SD channel in MPEG format.
It is working in WMP11 using Haali/ffdshow to read the .ts video.
It is working in mediaportal if I use another video codec for TV H.264 like powerDVD instead of ffdshow

Thanks for help,

Alain

So just to clarify: all these tests were performed using the same test file?

Are you able to provide us with a sample (maximum 50 MB) so we can check it? If so, please upload the sample to our FTP server. The login details for the FTP server are at the bottom of -->this page<--. Please also follow the file naming convention and let us know what your file is called.

    Best regards,

Hmmmm, I confirm that it doesn't want to play with the version of FFDShow that I have. I will try with GraphStudio this evening, but I think we possibly need the codec and TsReader experts to take a look.

I tried it quickly in MP 1.2.1 - most times it plays OK, but sometimes if play starts not at beginning-of-file it will hang after a few seconds (FFDShow 3904) - weird....

I didn't test too much on my side, just quick test :) i'm on FFDShow 3965.
I will retry on 1.2.1 surely in the day or this evening.

    Hi everyone

I tried in GraphStudio with the standard MP 1.2.1 TsReader and my version of FFDShow (3556 - Sept 2010) won't even connect. My version of FFDShow needs updating soon so I wouldn't read too much into this result...

    Hi,

My version of ffdshow was also too old. Moving to a new version corrected the problem.

    Thanks for help,
