Live-TV is stuttering after a while (1 Viewer)

Hello.
After a fresh installation of XP and MP RC2 i have a stuttering problem in live TV and i don't have any idea what could be the reason for this.
First everything is OK (25fps stable) (via FRAPS) but after about 20 minutes when watching TV stuttering begins, but recordings via TV-Server seem to be OK.
First i thought it could be a performance problem of the CPU, but it's only at about 15%.
Next idea was the HDD, so i changed the location of pagefile.sys (2048MB fixed size) to another HDD so Timeshift and pagefile are stored on different HDDs.
My last idea was the power management of XP, but it's set to "Desktop PC" and nothing will be switched off.
Cool 'n Quiet is also switched off.

Now i hope someone of you could help me to solve my problem.

I've had the exact same issues...

I am (and have been for weeks) in the process of tracking down the issue myself as it seems quicker than asking for help :s

One thing I have noticed is that mediaportal will fragment the absolute f@ck out of your HDD when it timeshifts and records programs. I analized a full 320GB HDD of recordings and the drive suffered 99% fragmentation. My next test will be to install another drive and set timeshift files to one drive and recordings to another. I have read this will create other issues when you decide to record a show that is timeshifting but something has to be done.

Mega fragmentation "may" affect the video stream since what you watch live seems to actually be read from the timeshift buffer. So I guess in theory, if the timeshift buffer was being fragmented quite a bit then it could stutter... The only thing I find wrong with that theory though is the data rate of a SATA2 HDD is something like 3GBs which is miles above the datarate of a TS stream.

I have defragged and re-structured my HDD data and removed all my old recordings and still get stuttering from time to time. After a computer restart it seems more stable and recordings don't seem affected, its the playback that seems to suffer though I have had some recordings that will begin missing small segments from time to time.

I am still hunting for a decent answer to this one.
