Additional Info: I am running For The Record using Schedules Direct for my guide data and TV recording.

When I go into TV and select a program from the guide, the show starts playing. After about 1 minute, the show stops and returns to the guide. I can then reselect the program but it will again return to the guide after about 1 minute.

I tried to run MP in debug mode but when I select TV it doesn't go into the TV section.

    Hi MontanaVike

When I go into TV and select a program from the guide, the show starts playing. After about 1 minute, the show stops and returns to the guide. I can then reselect the program but it will again return to the guide after about 1 minute.
I've seen issues like this before and I can't quite remember what the cause was. A few things that spring to mind:
    - disable IPv6 networking features
    - temporarily disable firewalls

    Does that make a difference?

I tried to run MP in debug mode but when I select TV it doesn't go into the TV section.
This is because debug mode disables plugins like FTR, but FTR has replaced the default TV plugin. You should be able to go into the plugins\Window subdirectory of your MediaPortal install directory (typically C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal... or something like that) and copy TvPlugin.dll to TvPlugin.dll.ftr and TvPlugin.dll.bak to TvPlugin.dll and then try debug mode. If that works, it is a FTR problem.

Disabling firewall and IPV6 had not effect but disabling FTR and going with the MP TV plugin worked fine. Guess I'll head over to the FTR forum and ask them.

Thanks for helping me pinpoint what the issue was!!
