Since MP 1.1.0 I sometimes have trouble with LIVE TV. All goes well for a day or two and then suddenly when I switch channels the buffer starts playing from start without video. Sound is ok. Other times the channel starts playing but also without video. Sound is ok again. When I try it for about 5 times over and over again, sometimes it starts to work normal again, but most of the times a restart of MP solves the problem.. again, for a day or two. Ik think it only happens after MP went into standby (S3) for the first time.

Also one time when the problem occurred I decided not to restart but to watch a video. Strange enough when i started the video (not a recording), It started playing the TV buffer! With sound, no video.

For the logs I started in Debug mode and did some switching channels; putting the machine in standby with the powerbutton, putting the machine in standby automatically, watched some recording and video's. In the end of the session the problem was there again. With the problem occurring I tried to switch some channels and then I closed MP to gather the logs.

Some other thing I noticed, which I do not know if it is related.... Sometimes when entering Live TV, a recording or even a video (can also be a DVD on my HD) Mediaportal stops playing and goes straight to the main screen after a couple of seconds. I will have a look if I can create some logs for that too.

You use Owlsroost Version of the EVR

In your MediaPortal.log are some NullPointer, I don't know where that come from (code or Database)

My suggestion is to reinstall MP first and maybe delete the DB too.

Yeah, I will try that, thank you Marvman!

Now that I think about it... this behaviour started when my second floppyDTV died on me and I did put a DVB-T card in. The second floppyDTV is still in configuration visible, but it is 'disabled'.

This problem was solved by uninstalling MP (+server) completely and reinstalling it. Somehow after I got rid of my second and broken FloppyDTV, it still was somehow in the MP configuration. It was disabled in configuration, but it still showed up. My new DVB-T card configured nice, but somehow configuration was distorted by ditching the fysical second FloppyDTV.
