The cable comes from STB, so i guess it could be active splitter. I'll have to test it straight from the wall. Also Mediaporal, or FireDTV Viewer cant find any fta channels with full scan, or even with "correct" dvb-c profile from the settings (Pori, Finland). I have made one by hand with the information available from our providers website (DNA). Is there anyway i could submit this new profile to be used in the next release?

Sorry to dig up this old thread, but i finally fixed part of the problem and thought to give a heads up. After replacing the nvidia card with radeon hd series, the issue remained. At this point, i was willing to give up and installed Linux to rule out the FloppyDTV. Well turned out everytime i got it installed and rebooted, it kernelpanicked during the boot. So, something was definately wrong. Long story short, i traced it to the Firewire card, everytime i manually loaded the firewire card driver, the system locked up. Yesterday i got new Firewire card based on Texas Instrument chips (the old was using VIA chip) with external power from molex. BER rate went down from 2000 to 0-20, which is the same my neighbor gets. SD channels tune now most of the time with 100/100 signal strenght/quality. HD channels needed to set the tune delay from 2s to 4s to get stable enough signal for channel tune. Chance of scrambled channel tune is still there, but it's propably a unfixable issue with the FloppyDTV.

Problem solved finally! It is the FloppyDTV! I was able to find 1.2.10 firmware, which is the oldest in Digital-Everywhere Firmware archive and it did the trick. No more scrambled channelchanges! I couldn't find the driver disc that came with the card, it should have even older firmware, but as long as this works, im happy.
