I'm converting from Vista MCE to MP, and I have two questions:
1) I am using an AOpen MP945-VDR miniPC with built in MCE IR receiver, a Logitech Harmony Remote 880 configured for Vista MCE, and a Logitech diNovo Mini keyboard.
The 880 works fine.
With the Mini the ESC key in mouse mode and the Back key in MCE mode does not work.
I tried enabling generic HID device, makes no difference.
In Vista MCE the 880 and Mini both work fine, including ESC and Back.
Any ideas?
2) I am running the Vista balanced power profile, and this turns the monitor off after around 20mins, and puts the PC to sleep after an hour. the problem is really that after 20mins the monitor turns off while I'm listening to music, and the monitor is my TV, and my TV is the speakers.
I basically want MP to suppress the screensaver, the monitor power, and the PC sleep from engaging as long as MP is playing content, i.e. I do not want to have to modify the power profile values.
E.g. if I listen to music or watch a movie I don't want anything to interrupt, but as soon as the movie or music stops, and I do not touch the controls, then I want the normal power profile timeframes to kick in.
Is this possible?
Regards
P.
