Logitech MediaPlayer Mouse (1 Viewer)

Hi, I'm a real newbie to MPE and MCE and I don't have time to do a thorough search, but I already did a quick one (so sorry if this question has been answered). Okay, I have a Toshiba Satellite M35X Laptop and am planning to install MP and use it to manage my multimedia, not TV (I know that sounds stupid). Anyways, I'm planning on getting the Logitech Media Player Cordless Mousehttp://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/US/EN,CRID=2135,CONTENTID=9340.

It has fast-forward, rewind, volume and all kinds of media controls, and it has a dedicated Media Player button, which leads to Logitech's version of Media Center called MediaLife. I was wondering, if I were to use MediaPortal with this mouse, could I map that "Media" button to MediaPortal?

I have that mouse, and yes you can. The mouse is highly configurable and you can use it as a remote in MediaPortal.

Can you give me specific instructions on how to do it so I don't act like an idiot and screw it up? (Don't worry, I'm very computer literate)

You really can't screw it up as there is a button to return all settings to default. Hit the link below and get the uberOptions patch for the Setpoint software that comes with the mouse. Follow the directions in the thread. The patch will let you change the Media button app and a lot more.
