Only downside of that remote is that it don't have &quot;backlight/backlid&quot;, so in dark it's harder to see the buttons. But it is very minimal downside. <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite1" alt=":)" title="Smile&nbsp; &nbsp; :)" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":)" /> It works with MP without any hassle, also wakes up PC from sleep. If you feel that the receiver which is included there, is too big and clumsy for your taste, there is this (which I have also and working nicely):<a href="http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-Internal-Infrared-IR-Receiver-with-Cable-and-Custom-Mounting-Bracket-/230676938088?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&amp;hash=item35b56abd68" target="_blank">http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-Internal-Infrared-IR-Receiver-with-Cable-and-Custom-Mounting-Bracket-/230676938088?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&amp;hash=item35b56abd68</a>If you don't want that remote/receiver, I recommend you make sure that remote is &quot;RC6&quot;, that means it should be capable of waking up PC from sleep too, and I guess RC6 remotes are working &quot;out-of-box&quot; with MP (someone correct me if im wrong <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite2" alt=";)" title="Wink&nbsp; &nbsp; ;)" loading="lazy" data-shortname=";)" />).Thanks,Kui</blockquote>
Hi tonewheelkev, I personally have this remote: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Philips-MCE-USB-IR-Receiver-and-lenovo-RC6-remote-control-/251086038203?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_15&hash=item3a75e4e4bb (Hope the link is working..) I like that remote, it works very well, im actually ordering second one soon for my other HTPC. Only downside of that remote is that it don't have "backlight/backlid", so in dark it's harder to see the buttons. But it is very minimal downside. :) It works with MP without any hassle, also wakes up PC from sleep. If you feel that the receiver which is included there, is too big and clumsy for your taste, there is this (which I have also and working nicely): http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-Internal-Infrared-IR-Receiver-with-Cable-and-Custom-Mounting-Bracket-/230676938088?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35b56abd68 If you don't want that remote/receiver, I recommend you make sure that remote is "RC6", that means it should be capable of waking up PC from sleep too, and I guess RC6 remotes are working "out-of-box" with MP (someone correct me if im wrong ;)).
