After 4 years i tried to use IR remote from TV, and realized that i need to aim to TV IR receiver to do anything (even though this remote has 2 IR LEDs beaming in different directions) - with RF you can control it without thinking where you have to aim to, sitting, laying, wrom other room (while listening music), etc...</blockquote>
