I have been using a pre 1.0 RC 1 version for a long time now (ver 0.3.2 or 0.2.3 or something like that) and it was VERY stable. When I started having problems with the My TV Series plugin, I decided to upgrade it - which required a MP upgrade.

I installed the latest stable version (1.0.2) and it worked, but the TV stream stuttered and shuddered. After plying with it for a bit, I tried the absolute latest version (1.1.0). Now, I can't get any TV stream at all. I turn on the TV in the TV menu, and it's as if nothing happened - no delay, no change - just a black screen.

The TV Server is running (Taskmanager). From within the TV Server Config, I can successfully watch an hear channels if I preview them. For whatever reason, the Client isn't picking up the stream.

The TV Server also isn't reading my tvguide xlm file in spite of having all required files with the right names, etc.... It says it can't find the file.

I also can't get Multishortcut to work. I used it to place a My Internet option in the main menu - launching Firefox.

I haven't exhausted all experimentation with this, but have gone through a couple dozen pages of the forum with no luck. just in case any of these are common, obvious, or easy things to fix, I wanted to post this thread in the hopes of finding a solution faster than endless trial end error.

This is the first time I use MP with a seperate client/server setup, so I'm climbing the knowledge curve, any assistance would be appreciated as my wife does not have a lot of patience when technology isn't working - and she was just starting to like MP.

UPDATE!!!! Feel stupid, but still no TV Guide

Ok, so last night I decided to revert back to 1.0.2 since it was working - sort of, after the initial install.

Here's where everyone else in this situation can learn from my mistake - although I don't expect this to be a wide spread problem

A few years ago when I first started using MP, I decided to install in a folder called Mediaportal instead of "Team Mediaportal". In these last few days, when installing I was picking one click install, thus putting the new one in the default folder. When I was trying to change things in the "Mediaportal" folder - go figure it didn't work.

Ok, so, I got the TV to work, Multishortcut to work, My TV Series plugin to work. I haven't mapped the radio channels yet, but don't anticipate any issues.

The only remaining problem is the TV Guide, using the built in xmltv plugin. I'm using the same file I was using a couple of days ago - and even updated it last night to make sure. I moved the folder (where the tvguide files and script are kept) to a folder in the Mediaportal Server folder. In TV Server Config, I point the plugin to the folder, check all three boxes below, plus the time zome box (with a value of 4 hrs) and try to force an import or update. It then claims that the tvguide.xml file is missing and stops. I try hitting the buttom again, or change values, or exit config and re-enter, and it won't seem to let me try to force another import/update. It doesn't update the time of the "last update" or anything.

I'm going to scour the forums again, but if this sounds familiar to anyone and you can help or point me to the right posting, I'd really appreciate it.
