Losing audio when switching channels (1 Viewer)

I'm having problems getting audio to work properly for live TV. I installed MP a week ago and I love it but this is doing my head in so I hope someone can walk me through it.

I'm using MP 1.7. My HTPC is hooked up to my SONY STR-DG820 AV Receiver via HDMI, then to the TV via HDMI.

I've tried setting the TV codecs to LAV with default direct sound device in audio renderer. When I do this I get audio on the HD channels with AC3 sound but no sound on the other channels with Mpeg1.

If I set the audio renderer to MediaPortal I get sounds on both Mpeg1 and AC3, but only until I switch channel between them. If I switch channel from an AC3 channel to a Mpeg1 channel or visa versa I lose sound. To get sound back i have to stop the TV then go to the guide and select the other channel. Once I do that audio works again.

Well, didn't get any responses but eventually I figured out that my problem was the same as the one in this post https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/no-sound-for-most-files.125442/

Used the same solution and everything is all good with sound now. Playing perfectly using LAV filters and direct sound.
