lost images (1 Viewer)

Hi guys,

I f***ed up yesterday and thought I had lost all my Moving Pictures db. I found out a way to retrieve my movie list (thanks for the db3 backup file) but can't seem to find my images though they're still phisically present on my HDD, how can I do that?

Hi Matt

talking about the HDD folder where the images are stored?
Go to Start Menu; Programs; Team-MediaPortal; MediaPortal; UserFiles
Look in the Thumbs folder for Moving pictures

I mean, I found them, I know where tey are, but how can I link them back to the movies in my database without having to do it manually for each movie (we're talking, for the moment, about more than 200 movies)

I do not think there is an easy way to do that other than rescanning - in other words starting with clean database.
Manually editing one by one will take forever.

but these are only optical discs (blu-ray or HD DVD) so, rescanning will take even longer I guess. I'll see what I can do.

Come to think of it: you found your database, you still have your thumbs directory intact, what is the problem then? If you look at one of those DVD's in the importer, where does it's backdrop path point to?

if I remember correctly, there was no link anymore. I'll give it a look as soon as I arrive at home tonight

I just went through and deleted the covers that I DONT use and somehow moving pictures has decided that the ones I was using no longer exist. Now every time I open up the configuration it decides to download all of them again.

Actually if I click the show image in full size it shows it, but it doesnt show up anywhere else. Not in mediaportal, and not in the preview window.

Nevermind somehow I managed to loose all the thumnails
