m4p files are protected/DRM files. Do they play fine in iTunes? Have you logged in and authenticated?
If so, then have you enabled the iTunes plugin in MP?

I have verified that a) I can play these files in itunes b) I have activated the itunes plugin c) only seems to be an issue with m4p files - m4a (also purchased from itunes) work fine.
