Major glitch watching TV - RC4 (1 Viewer)

I've recently installed rc4 and i'm having a bit of trouble with the TV. Every now and again, maybe 30 min but can be more like an hour or even longer in between, there will be a big glitch while watching TV where for about 20 - 30 seconds its become unwatchable. Firstly by freezing up then the audio seems to comes back followed by a jumpy video and eventually they become back in sync and TV is normal again.

I'm currently using EVR with Aero enabled in Vista.

in the attached logs this all occurs during 19:04 where it seems to start at 19:04:34 in the mediaportal.log file

all the other logs don't seem to report much around this time but this is a snippit from the mediaportal.log where i think the big glitch happens:

hope anyone is familiar with the log messages above and could shine some like on why this could be occuring.
btw, i've tried to use VMR9 instead of EVR but this made no difference

I am getting the same error and freezing with Version 1.

Also on Vista but Intel and Nvidia platform.

same problem here, does anybody help on these forums? or is mediaportal dying out?

i thought mediaportal would have changed since the last time i tried it a few years ago, but seems like nothing has changed. Seems like same buggy program that evens makes a quad core cpu seem slow.

First of all, be carefull with the words and respect the big work many Team Members and MediaPortal users are doing on this project. Rember it's free and for many of us is an hobbie !!!

Back to your question: are you really on RC4 ? Where are complete logs ?

I wasn't moaning!!!

No-one replied with a response so I did a fresh install (of MP) but noticed that I had a double entry for one TV card and under type, it said "Unknown" before re-install. This was on a new install of Vista and updates and drivers were not fully in place when I installed Vista.

I also installed latest SVN and this works really well on my server.

Not that scientific to help answer why it was happening, but at least it got fixed.

Would be cool if people always answered these requests, rather than waiting until one of the posters gets angry. But then we are not paying anything so actually that anyone takes the time to answer is great! Especially when eveything else costs so much these days.
