make a shortcut link to tv guide? (1 Viewer)

Hi all im trying to make a shortcut link to the tv guide so I can use xbmc advance launcher to load mediaportals tv guide which is much better then the pvr add on that xbmc has. managed to do this with wnidows media center but didn't like it , so any help enable me too do this would be great .
like I said all I want too know is the link too mediaportal tv guide so I can use the advance launcher that xbmc has to run external programs?

what do you mean by "mediaportal tv guide"? do you mean TV EPG grabber or TV EPG information window http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_MEDIAPORTAL_1/14_Using_MediaPortal/3_TV/0_TV_Guide ?

Yes the tv guide where you can see channel info I want too make a shortcut link too it so for example if I managed to make the shortcut to the tv guide and just say had it on my desktop when I click it I will load straight to the tv guide info screen . with me?

MP TV EPG Guide works only with MP TV Server, so you need full installation of MP and MP TV Server running when MP should start. If you are aware of it and can accept waiting at least 20 seconds for MP to start - then you can configure keyboard button to map it to action "show TV Guide".

I want to make a desktop shortcut too the mediaportal tv guide info I have it all working like I said in me post so when I click shortcut on desktop it loads mediaportal straight too the tv guide info ? don't want a shortcut key command wantto make a actual shortcut link on the desktop....

MP Start It Plugin, allows MP to start within certain screens/plugins. Might work. Don't ask me any more about it, because I don't know... you will have to use the search button Alternative is to start MP using a script that passes a shortcut to goto EPG when MP loads. Autohotkey would do this, but you will have to put in some work. (It would be easier to just go with the better media center)

I was looking for something like this. I just wanto to automatically enter the Movies menu at program startup.
Where to download this plugin? I can't find it on the page repo.
