Hello guysn'gals!

This is my first post. It's also my first MP installation. Looks damn good this far. Me happy.

However...

...is there a way of making MP remember settings like subtitles, aspect ratio for each TV-channel? It's a little annoying having to set these each and everytime you make a channel switch. Especially when making several recordings on a row, then you're not even there to change the settings.

Or did I miss something obvious in the Wiki?

    Hi ratata,

For correction of aspect ratio I use the IFC plugin. It is Intelligent Frame Correction and automatically sorts the aspect ratio for your screen during playback of TV or videos. You can install it via the MPEI (MediaPortal Extension Installer) that should have installed on your desktop. This lists the plugins you have on your setup, and the ones that are available. IFC is listed under this and can be installed from this too. You would have to go to the plugin section of Config to enable it and set it up. It seems to work 'out of the box' for me.

I can't help with subtitles, although there is a plugin for subtitles called SubCentral. I don't know if this will do what you want as I have never used it. This can be installed via the MPEI shortcut.

Additionally there is also a Volume plugin that remembers the volume settings for different TV channels; this is called MyVolume and, again, is listed in the MPEI.

    HTH,

    M.
