I'm running Media Portal 1.6 and have separate server and client machines.
So far, all has been working well, since I finished tweaking the setup configuration, however, I have seen an intermittent problem relating to recordings.
For example, the other night, I had a recording set for 9pm, from the TV Guide (recording is set to start something like 7 minutes in advance of the scheduled time).
When I went to the server, to check that I had indeed scheduled the recording (call it OCD
), there was an existing 'manual' recording event in progress. No manual recording had been set, so I stopped it, but it just re-started automatically.
I tried re-starting the TV service, but the same thing happened - the 'manual' recording resumed.
I then re-booted, but the same thing happened.
Now, because I have recordings set to finish 10 minutes after the scheduled time, in case of overruns, the recording carried on and I missed the first 10 minutes of the programme I had actually set to record.
There were no other scheduled recordings set.
I've seen the behaviour before, but it didn't affect any scheduled recordings at that time, so I ignored it.
Does anybody know what might have caused the rogue manual recording?
I can't find any previous reports on the forum.
