There is a bug in WinXP with the auto preview of folders with lots of AVI files (or less but larger files).
Especially if this is a networked drive, you may find it is with Windows itself. Thee is a solution, I think it was a registry hack to disable autopreview for folders with lots of AVI's but it was a while ago that I did this.
Not sure if this will solve your issue, but opening Win Explorer is a quick and painless way to test, at least.
hallo, when i Turn the "auto preview" on it takes a long time to mage a thumb of every video, but when i use regualar icons it goes fast.
but i can ofcourse try that register hack..
