Map a Button to a Plugin (My TVSeries) (1 Viewer)

only if is a very simple job for you...

Why not add the "magic number" window feature also at the "Map MCE Buttons" windows ?

In more words: add the possibily of select a specific Window ID same as this simulation, with a editing of the "Condition" combo-box (9811 is the ID of the MyTVSeries xml file and 7986 is the ID of the MesFilms xml file).



The final objective is cicle through MyFilms and MyTVSeries plugin with only the "Recorded TV" MCE remote button.

Found my personal solution: use your "layer switch function" to change between two commands !

I'm working on allowing numbers to be entered into the window combo box of the input mapping window.

I'll put the change into my plugins to begin with and if it works well I'll merge it into MediaPortal itself.

Can this be used with the X10 remote?
If I want my "VCR" button to open 'My TV Series', how can I configure that?
And if I commit changes with the plugin, what happens to the original mapping?

It seems like a great plug-in, now I just want to get it to work
(btw, I've read the help, so I'm not asking because of laziness )

Hey,

I don't think it will work with X10, but give it a try.

When you change the mappings you can always revert to the original mappings by clicking the "Reset" button.

Hi Aaron,

I'm using the latest test version your MCE remote plugin... I'm trying to setup a button to jump to Mytvseries directly but after reading this thread, I'm still not sure how to do it.

I tried to set up a Macro with "Go To Screen" but it doesn't let me specify the window id...it only has a list of standard windows on a drop down menu.

Can you give me some pointer here?

You should be able to type the window id number into that drop down list box.

You can get the window Id from the xml file in the skin folder. I don't have it at hand but maybe someone else can post it if you can't find it.
