Marking episodes as "watched" (1 Viewer)

I've just installed the plug-in (looks great!), but, as expected, all episodes are marked as "not watched", even though I have previously seen most of the available files. What is the best way to mark a large number of episodes "watched", without actually going and opening each one and watching for a few seconds...?

Thanks!

select the episode, season or tvshow and open the context menu.
there you can see a "toggle watched flag" (don't know if the words are exactly that, since mine is not in english) menu item to mark as watched/not watched.

it'd be nice if we could do this from the configuration screen as it'd be a much quicker way of doing it :)

meaning right click on season 2 of a show or of a whole show and mark all the episodes below that tree as watched = 1

It would be, indeed. I found that you can do it from the configuration screen, an episode by episode (by changing the watched flag from 0 to 1). Also, you can export the flags into a text file and then manually add more watched episodes and then re-import it. That seemed to be the quickest way to do mass-flagging, but it certainly wasn't very convenient :).

Or just bring up the menu on each series/season and hit "Mark all as watched". It wouldn't be any faster than this inside Configuration either.

Once done you can export the watched flags and save them, so in the future if (for what ever reason) you want/need to re-build your db you can re-import the watched flags. Also i find it useful to export them form one PC and import to another to keep my watched in sync.

Inker, any chance of a command line interface into this import export function, then i could just script it.

Not really, since we're not an executable and thus cannot receive command line arguments (at least that I know of). Anyways, perhaps it can be done with sqlite browser by giving it some arguments, but I don't really know.

    Fair enough.
How many users can connect to the db at one time?
    I assume just one.
Maybe in the future all the db's will be in the MS sql database then multiple sources can connect at once.
