I changed my weather location to Cheltenham, UK and it spelled out "United Kingdom" instead of UK. Started the skin and i didn't get any location info, not even a flicker...so I changed the width to 400 and it displayed "properly". The quotes are because the name ran into the time, so i'll have to move the whole overlay over a bit, not a big deal. Thanks for pointing this out, it will be changed in upcoming releases.

No problem, thanks for the info on the fix :)
I checked out what you suggested and it displayed fine with width at 400, I had to drop 40px off of the horizontal position info for the weather overlay and then all looked cool :D
Thanks for such a great looking skin!

thanks, I still have some things to add. one more thing i wanted to do, but unfortunately the tv window isn't cooperating....

    ftp://www.knwd.net/pub/mediaportal/skin/mce1280x720/mytvhome.xml

Save the old mytvhome.xml so you can revert back to it. The change is in the menu on the left. If i find other places to use this type of menu, i will. I really wanted to use it in the tv section because it takes too many clicks to get to some screens.

A thanks should go out to forgotten illustrator, i couldn't figure out how to do this effect until his recent post.

hobbes, what version and when did you download the skin? There was an error with dialognotify.xml, one of the <'s was replaced with a ' near the top of the file. I caught it the next day and replaced it, but the flawed version was up on the server for at least 24 hours.

Since i can't remember which line in the file is, and i don't have an uncorrected version to check, instead of downloading the whole skin again here is the file:

    ftp://www.knwd.net/pub/mediaportal/skin/mce1280x720/DialogNotify.xml

Boilermaker any chance of including the new MP-TVSeries plugin in your next version?
I'll give it a try, with new plugins it usually comes down to how long it takes me to get them working so that i can test the reskin. If i get it up and running by the end of the week, it will be part of the first release. I had all sorts of problems with setting up the first tv-series plugin.

Last i checked, the original mytvseries was working even tho it wasn't being supported. So for now it will still be included in the skin. Hopefully the new plugin will catch on, so i can drop support for the older one.

    Thank you.

The new plugin is a complete rewrite and its much easier to install and configure. Its still a beta version but its coming along just fine and quickly. The xml file is prety much the same as the old one with a few minor changes. There is already a tvseries.xml file for B2 wide.

i've got it working, and its basically been reskinned:

    ftp://www.knwd.net/pub/mediaportal/skin/mce1280x720/TVSeries.xml

i've changed the layout of the time and date in the final release of the skin. There might be some overlapping objects if using the above file, but they should be minor and won't be a problem in about a week.

pannivas, saw your post in the thread about the name of the file. the first thing i thought when i downloaded the plugin was that they should have used a different name. Otherwise the plugin is an improvement; it found info on a series the other one didn't and uploaded everything automatically for me. Pretty good stuff.

i download the latest svn and the plugin is working perfectly fine. i see no overlaping or anything else. A strange thing happen tho with the latest svn. When i open MP i get a message that it cannot find myHome.xml file. Any ideas why?

Yes its a big improvment from the previous version much better and its still a long way from final version. I also asked them if they can change the ID of the xml file so that we can use it on a custom basichome screen. Hopefully they will.

    Thanks again Boilermaker.
