HI Guys,

Can someone help me with the following problem.
I ran MP on windows XP and for my Shuttle VFD display I used the MCE display plugin from Joe Dalton and later cybrmage's plugin.

I switched to Vista some weeks ago and installed RC1. All works perfectly except for my display.
I installed the Vista drivers from the shuttle website but when I start MP it does nothing.
When I start Vista MCE it works oke.

Question:

Is the display plugin incompatible with Vista or did I do something wrong?

I didn't attach any logs because I'm not at home right now.
I you want the logfiles let me know, I will send them.

Thanks

Its not just Vista, the Cybrdisplay plugin seems to stop receiving MP state events when the MCE driver is enabled.. if you turn on property browser with the MCE driver selected you will notice that the two boxes at the bottom never get any info, so the display doesn't seem to do anything! :(

It's not the mce driver because I don't use it. I only installed the BDA driver for my tv card because I don't want to use Vista MCE.

I think it has something to do with the imediasink Vista uses. I think it's different from the one in XP

Sorry, I think you've mis-understood what I mean..
I meant the MCE driver in the CybrDisplay configuration, I think its called 'MCE Compatible Display Driver' or something similar..
If that driver is selected for use then the plugin doesn't seem to receive the status updates from MP, if you select a different driver (imon for example) it gets the status ok.

Maybe thats the reason it is no longer available in the selection list of Joe Dalton's plugin.
It looks like it isn't functioning anymore.

So it could be it's Vista or it is the new MP version that has no support for the current MCE compatible display driver
