MCE Remote - Arrows and OK only (1 Viewer)

Hello gentlemen,

As my title says, only arrows and OK button works with my MCE remote.

I read all I found about this and tried to :

- Use another user profile (as suggested by Paranoid Delusion here)​

- Uninstall and reinstall MediaPortal
- Reinstall the Mapping XML files from the Default folder
- uncheck the MCE option, reboot, recheck, reboot in the config tool
- using the original MCE remote instead of the Harmony

To be complete in my explaination, here are some facts.
- The Antec internal IR receiver in unplugged.
- The other buttons works great within WMP or WMC
- This same setup worked great until MP 1.2.3 upgrade
- I'm stuck with this problem for days, please, help me

So, I think you have the same knowledge oh the problem than me.

Please, help a poor guy fighting this remote issue

It sounds my problem is not so easy to solve.
It's a releaf for me but it doesn't me help so much

Disable the drivers for the antec ir receiver in device manager and the rc6 buttons will work.

i'm having the same issue... does anybody have a solution for this?

when i choose HID-Device, some more buttons do work; but most of them (teletext buttons for example) still won't work

The Antec driver should not need to be disabled, as I'm using an MCE remote with receiver, as well as the Antec receiver (only used for power on/off), and have no problems.

Is the receiver an original MS USB MCE receiver?

Are you using IRSS, or just the built in MCE remote section in MP Config?

Does the Ehome receiver show up in device manager without error condition? (entry should specify ehome)

Have you tried running the Antec setup wizard that lets you choose whether the bulitin receiver operates as MCE or IMON? Maybe setting here is somehow conflicting with genuine MCE receiver.

Hi everybody.
Some buttons on the MCE remote just stop working for no reason that is obvious. I use a cheap Logitech Remote with an Original Microsoft USB receiver. The buttons were working one day and stopped the next. This is the third time this has happened to me. The only way to resolve this is to uninstall MP and reinstall unless someone has worked out why this happens. Curiously all buttons work fine in Window Media Centre but not in Media Portal.
