Hehe, an romanian like me:D

Try in Win7, it's not the same.... i suspect lasta IR Suite work ok on Win7, but i did not tested enought.

Sergiu, give me a little faq on how you set the remote on Vista...with IR Suite.

Like this: install MP. go to Ir suite, set etc, etc.

I want to test Ir Suite more.

And could you tell me if your remote work with Mceir.dll in Girder ? My remote is from 2007 model.

Hi, reeven. As I said in my previous post, there's no need for IR suite on Vista, i just plug the receiver, disable some Win MCE services, and install the MPTray... and from now on, the MCE Remote act like a MePo Remote.

about Win 7, I read some good news...

MCE remote support on Win7 will be fixed with MediaPortal 1.1.0.

I wanted to play with IR Suite or Girder, but I never got enough time to do that :D... (no need to, actually)

If you need anything else, from technical advices to small-talk, feel free to PM me.

I can give you my config for Girder, simple:D, after that you test your remote, and apply again the buttons if it's not working.
In win7 , with Girder, Intelliremote, Evenghost, etc, you get double push button on the remote, because this mce use HID services.
Let's say i set my UP ARROW button on the remote to Fullscreen( alt+enter), but mce remote by DEFAULT already asign Up Arrow to UP on keyboard.

Double push means this: i click on UP on the remote, in the same time is start 2 commands, Up and Fullscreen.
Up, down, left, right, volume, ch, all this buttons on the remote have double bush problem.

But, today i test latest IR suite, and i set HID servicesc to DISABLE in IR suite, plus 2-3 settings more, after restart my remote does not react at MCE, meaning no more double push, just like in Vista or XP:D.
Now all the buttons on the remote must be mapped to something to work again, in mce, etc.

I used the KeyboardInput Plugin with HIP and it worked fine - I'm just not sure which one is actually doing the work.

I wasn't keen on Girder because you had to edit your registry and I've had some nasty experiences with that.

My remote does not have any teletext buttons, and I'm not fussed by that - I tried to using the learn function in HIP - pressing a key on the remote and giving it a function but that didn't seem to work, and neither did the Keyboardinput plugin - couldn't get that OSD / Context Menu to display.

I think what I need to do is to have the "INFO" button function as a "RIGHT CLICK" on the mouse - any ideas how to map that? If I can do that I will be done !!
