    Hi!

I'm trying to find the best solution for my situation so I said: Why not to ask if someone already solved it?

I have one PC that serves as "all-round player" sort to say. It PC for work, games, multimedia, etc.
It is Windows XP Pro SP2 machine with TVE3 server and MediaPortal client (latest SVN - updated every other day) installed and USB MCE remote .

I want to be able to use MCE remote to switch display configuration (issue hotkey commands for nView), start and close MP client, use it in MP without double clicks (double commands issued) and maybe put PC into standby and bring it out of it (MBO has the needed options in BIOS).

Is this combination even possible? What other software do I need to get it working besides MCE remote drivers (installed) and MP server and client?

You could try HIP, Girder, the MCE Replacement Driver, the MediaPortal MCE Replacement Plugin, ...

If none of these things alone (or in conjunction with another) solves your problem, get in touch with me and I'll send you something I'm working on that just might.

    Cheers,

    Thanks and-81!

    I'll try HIP.
As far as I can see reading about it I do not need Girder if I configure it the way it suits me, or am I wrong?
I am asking because Girder is not free, is it?

And about that something You are working on... I would be willing to test it when the time comes :)

    Cheers to you too, mate!

Yeah that's the problem with Girder, it's not free.

But HIP is, and it's very good, I used it in the past.

    Good luck,
