    Hi,

I don't think this is a bug more a config issue. Since 1.0 RC1 MP will not Standby when pressing the PC Power button on MCE Remote. I have tried all things and cannot get it to work. Can somebody please point me in the right direction. I installed lattest SVN which cleared all channels in TV Server. PC Power Button was working. Re-scanned and added channels again and now does not function. I will post logs if need be but think it is config not a bug.

    Thanks in advance.

Look into Windows Event-log, is there an event like "TV Server prevented going to standby" ? That means, that the conditions, you made in config of server/client, were not yet met (time or home-screen)

I have brained my remote and mapped the TV power button, but the PC power button still no go. What's with the date and time here?

    Anybody have any ideas please.

I would suggest to use the PowerScheduler Plugin to put the server or client into sleep/hibernate mode and use the remote to get it out of it again.
I've read that it's also better to let the PowerScheduler plugin put the system into sleep/hibernate mode because then it wakes up better for certain events (like recording).

I'm putting my (single seat setup) system into sleep after 15 mins of inactivity. (Still waiting for a new cable from Korea for my HTPC Case to get it out of the standby mode because that ain't working yet).

    Homey,

Thanks for your reply. I have finally sorted this out. It was to do with the XP Power Options Setting/Advanced/ "When I press the Sleep button on my computer". Had to set this to "Standby" to work. I am not sure why the functionality changed with 1.0RC1 as it was working fine prior to this and I didn't change this. I am still not sure I understand the relationship between the three Powerscheduler plugins, Client and Powerscheduler under MP config and Powersheduler under the TV Server. Somebody may wish to enlighten me if they have time but what the heck it's working now.

    Thanks

    :D
