MCE remote US version not working. (1 Viewer)

I can't get my MCE remote to work. It's the US version from Microsoft.

Buttons and IR both light up so I don't think it's a problem with the remote or receiver.

When I first bought it 5 months ago, it worked fine. I tested it on an older PC with Media Portal.

But I built a HTPC recently and can't get the darn thing working.

I suspect that it has to do with interference between all the wireless devices around my HTPC. Keyboard/Mouse, stereo receiver, TV, etc.

Has anyone come across this problem or have suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

I did a bit of research on the forum when I was trying to get mine going (Euro Vers), I came across alot of post but these items stuck out alot

1. Remove the batteries for an hour or so, they lock up or something and sometimes need to be reset which removing the batteries does this.

2. Wouldnt work on XP Home, you need the drivers from an XP Pro CD
