MCE Replacement Plugin and HIP/Girder (1 Viewer)

Hi aaron,
the instructions in the zips file refer to HIP or Girder, it's good to use MCE replacement plugin with the standard ehome driver without these softwares?

at the moment I'm working in this way with the MCE repl. version 16-06-07 an everything seems OK.....

let me kno what you think about it

Hi Ettore,

I moved your post into a thread of it's own because it is more about the plugin than the driver.

You only need HIP / Girder if you want to control your whole pc with the remote. MCE Replacement Plugin is just for MediaPortal and won't play nice with those other programs if you install them.

If you decide you want to use something like HIP or Girder then try IR Server Suite first, it has plugins for MediaPortal that will give it better integration than HIP/Girder. You'd need to remove the MCE Replacement plugin to use it too.

But your current setup is fine. Nothing to worry about.
