Media Keys on Keyboard (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Before I start, I'm not completely technically minded, much as I like to try to be!

I run a pub and use a media server to drive music to my amp; I'm looking to have the info displayed on a screen behind the bar and MediaPortal seems perfect for this - lovely interface etc.

However, controlling it seems fussy and it seems to hang a lot. I've searched around the forum looking for solutions but can't quite find something that works. I would like to use the media keys on my keyboard to play, stop, pause, next track etc., but cannot find a way of mapping them to work.

Is there a simple way of navigating the interface from a keyboard and pausing/skipping tracks without constantly having to back-up to the list? Or is there a simple plug-in that I can install that doesn't require a degree in programming?

Keyboard Shortcuts. Look in both General and Music.

i wrote a tray icon program that remaps the media keys on the keyboard to the default mediaportal keys
ill have to upload it sometime
it also works for the keys on the front of your htpc case.

EDIT: If you can't wait for me to upload, it can all be done in auto hot keys
