media player 11???? on W7 I have 12!!!! (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I'm trying a bouble upgrade: from an XP+MP1.0 HTPC to a W7+MP1.1

When I'm installing MP 1.1 on my windows 7 machine (donwnload files onlly mode) he's asking for media player 11 installer files,
but my pc have mediaplayer 12 preinstalled: does this make sense?

Hi,

are you talking about the installer trying to download WMP11 on your pc with internet access
or about the installer trying to install WMP11 on your HTPC with Win 7 installed ?

First case: this is intended behaviour
Second case: cannot confirm this on my side

both PC are W7 (HTPC is X86 and internet-connected is X64): I guess there'se some small BUG in "donload-only" mode

anyway I've connected the HTPC to internet and performed the one-clik install on the HTPC directly and this worked fine
