Media Portal 1 was working well on windows 10 64 bit until latest major windows update about a week ago. Now media portal will not display live tv or record scheduled program. The HDhomerun player will still display live tv as before.
It seems like MediaPortal's TV Server is not able to receive the stream from your tuner. This can be caused by several things.
Please check that:
The BDA Compatibility Mode setting in HDHR Config/Setup is set to "MediaPortal".
Any security software that you use (particularly firewalls) allow MediaPortal's TV Server (TVService.exe) to access your network (so that it can receive the stream from your tuner).
If that doesn't help, please try power cycling the HDHR.
If that doesn't help, please try rebooting the PC.
If that doesn't help... well, I'm not sure what would be wrong.
Thanks, apparently Microsoft changed the firewall settings with the windows 10 update. I had to go into firewall settings and use the ""add another app" button and go find the tvservice.exe to allow it. That fixed it.
