@high this sounds quite badly if the MP1 installer does bring such things. Is this a sourceforge "mod"?!

I've read about such unwanted modifications of installers already. If this happened here, we probably need to look for another hosting :(
just temp for not maintained projects (>dead over 2 years) or with authors knowledge, we do not have or had an issue with SF.
I think he clicked on advertisement which sometimes looks like a download link.
best option but theres no ad close to the dl-links (just far at the bottom). Maybe an ad on SF-dl-page.

OK, thanks again for the help.
I did download MP1 and got the correct file this time. In the fray of uninstalling the things from the previous incorrect file and then installing the correct one, I now get a windows error (in normal things like IE, and sometimes just sitting at the desktop: Red X "Windows cannot find: C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\UserExtensions\Client.exe; Make sure you typed the name correctly and try again."
I also got an Incompatibility error when running the MP1 sections.
I am inclined to uninstall all of MP1, and then do a Restore of my operating system to get it back to a few weeks ago, and then redownload MP1 and start over.
But before I do that, BIG QUESTION: Does MP1 work on a Windows 7 64bit OS????? Your website did not specifically list that as an ok OS for MP1. The MP2 ads did list it as ok for Win...7 64bit. I need to know this before I do any reinstallations of MP1, and if it is not compatible with my system, I'll wait for MP2 to get to the mature stage, unless you MP folks have another suggestion.
Thanks in advance for any help that comes my way.

That's not necessary. You can remove anything relating to MP without having to restore. But as you wish.

    Yes.
