Media portal always on top (1 Viewer)

I have dual screen and when I use the screen that isn't showing the media portal, the MP minimizes so I can't work watching MP.

The extrange thing it's that I was able to use my primary screen with the media portal running on the secondary screen without problems.

But I must have changed something and I can't make it work it right again, each time I use primary screen media portal vanishes on the secondary screen.

Is there anyway to set MP always on top?

I use windows vista and the last version of MP 1

Are you using "screen selection" and "always on top" options in Mediaportal Configuration -> General ?

Yes.

Also I tried uninstalling k-lite codepack and installing cccp codepack and worked fine, but when I restarted the computer got the same problem again.

What about the "minimize to tray" options (two of them) in General settings ?

Nope, I think your MP configuration is correct.

What kind of settings do you have for your graphics card, is it ATI or nVidia?

Are you using desktop clone mode or extended desktop etc..

I have a NVIDIA 9600 GT and I use dual view = configured independently each screen

Are you using vmr9, if so disable exclusive mode under MP config directshow filters.

Great, that did the trick!

Althought the explanation of the "exclusive mode" on the media portal configuration suggest the contrary.

I can't find this option now on the MP RC 2, so I have now exactly the same problem.

Fixed, it has now an option that says "expert mode" that was hiding it.
