media portal not detecting internet connection (1 Viewer)

MediaPortal Version: 1.2.1, 1.1.3
Windows Version: win 7 x64


After trying and failing to get multishortcut to work with 1.2.1 i finally gave up and tried to go back to 1.1.3 but setup can't detect my internet connection(had the same problem with 1.2.1) but it went through randomly

now i'm stuck, no media center

I have no firewall installed and windows firewal is disabled, internet and hulu work fine

Sadly, no-one can help you without more detail. Please post your logs.

We should also be able to help with Multishortcut and 1.2.1 (I have it working on my system), but we will need to know details about exactly what didn't work.

well, I got to sit down with it again and it worked. I was able to get through the installer and get multishortcut to work, still don't know why the setup wouldn't see my internet connection, maybe a bug for those who track these things....for anyone having trouble, I had to ensure the MultiShortcut.dll plugin entry was enabled, even though I had my other created plugin dlls enabled. I don't remember having this enabled in the menu previously cuz I never saw it in the skin. Maybe the multishortcut installer did all that for me...anyhow it works, and shame on Team Media Portal for breaking one of the most valuable plugins for their new release(only half joking, this option should be native in the Configuration.exe!)

I used the Hide in MP Menu option so I wouldn't see it in the skin.

I used the modified DLL and the Dllfix.exe that is posted on the forum.
