Media Portal OSD is fighting STB OSD. (1 Viewer)

Hey everyone,

I Use an HD-PVR to record HD content from my STB.

My STB has it's own OSD that displays when blasting to change the channel.
Everytime I change the channel, i have the MP OSD overlaying the STB OSD, which looks horrible.

Also, it records the OSD on recordings, which is also annoying.

Another quip I have is that when anyone connects to an existing stream to watch the same channel as someone else, MP still tries to change the channel for no reason, throwing the STB OSD on the screen every time anyone even attempts to connect. (Also borking recordings, which means watching anything you also record ruins the recording.)


I have done everything I can, but apparently my STB has no way to disable the OSD (The provider has also pretty much blocked all options in the setup menu anyways)


Is there a way to have MP delay slightly during channel change to avoid picking up the STB OSD? (maybe 1-2 seconds, as I have it sending two 'selects' after the channel change to quickly cancel the OSD)

I could have sworn that when I first started using MP 1.0.2, that it did delay recording until AFTER the channel change, but for some reason it seems to want to record the STB OSD constantly now.


Also, is there a way to prevent MP from attempting to change the channel when anyone connects to an existing stream or recording? (there is no reason to change the channel when connecting to a stream or recording, the channel is of course already correct and shouldn't be disturbed with a channel change.)
