Media Portal VS Boxee (1 Viewer)

I am not sure how you can really compare the two. If what you are looking for is a quick and painless way of listing all your apps videos and music then use iTunes or WMC. If like me you feel that that is not even close to what you want and then start looking at alternatives. Pound for Pound I belive the Mediaportal is the "man" these few specific reasons.
1. There are more options available to the non-technical person than any other solution that I have come across.
2. It is highly customisable, even for stupid poeple like me!
3. It is being developed by real poeple who consume food and drink like you and me instead of some "nana" in a green and black matrix type inviroment keeping himself ticking with a sludge type substance called "Java". These people are easy to recognise as they have never ever shaved even though they have never had full blown puberty. The bottom of there face looks more like a haze than a beard.
4. Support is oustanding, you might not always get the answer you want but I promise you this, you will always get answer and normally more than 1.
5. If you have a suggestion people will listen. You don't have to be part of an exclusive club, a fully paid up Trekkie member or have every electronic toy in exsitance that starts with an "i".
6. ITS FREE. Can you imagen having all of this for nada?
Let me leave you with this.
Even though I have had very little to do, if any thing, with this product I still somehow feel the master of my HTPC Universe. People out there have been working on this product so that you and I can look like hero's and show off our skills when our mates come around. We get to take in all the "Oooo's" and "Ahhhh's" that the people in tha background never really hear.
To every-one that makes me look good, YOU GUYS ROCK!!!!!
Take the time to read the forums, install the product and play a bit. It there is anything you don't understand open google and start with mediaportal <put your question here> then Click and be amazed.
I promise you this, you either get the bug or you don't but I dare anyone to come up with the solution that Mediaportal has with their limited resources spread across our fine globe on no budget.
