Mediaportal 1.0.0.0 slow and sometimes unresponsive on Vista 64bit (1 Viewer)

With Mediaportal 1 on Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit SP1, the configuration and the Mediaportal application are very slow at loading things (such as accepting changes to the config and loading Mediaportal and selecting TV in Mediaportal) and become unresponsive. Any idea on what's going on? Attached is a log that was produced when I had to force Mediaportal to close.
