I have installed all the requirements before installing R3, applied hot fixes as well.

When I have installed TV Server and run TV Server configuration very first time,
it asked passwd for DB connection, it is OK. Then afterwards it asked to start TVServer Service then
it started.

I have not received any error, Even when I have looked into the logs, I have seen Skystar HD2 card has been
detected.

Butg When I have clicked "Server" tab in the TV Server Configuration Tool, no server is presented,
no TV card detected.

Have I missed something essential while installing MediaPortal 1.0 RC3?

Thanks for your help.

PS: I will try to add log files later.

If you don't see your server listed in the config tool, check your networking - I use a USB wireless device and sometimes this doesn't intialise correctly so I need to unplug and plug it in again. Until then I have no server and no DVB cards - also, if you set the service to look at an IP Address this might have changed if you get address via DHCP - static address better for TV Server.

    jmbilling thanks for your advice.

I'm selecting one-seat usage on the same machine.
I'm having problem in TV Server setup. I beleive that you are mentioning a good advice on a problem about client configuration tool.
I think, TV Server must see DVBS(2) Card and let me configure the Diseqc and scan the transponders
although without installintg any client plugin. I'm not seing any DVB card in TV Server Setup Tool.

    Many thanks,

I will also check whether TV Server Service has been really started by windows MCE.

    Hi,
No, I don't mean in the client setup, this is in the tv server setup (I am single-seat too).
In TV Server config, click TV Servers, then click "Choose IP for Streaming" - if the one in there isn't what it was set to previously or the network card that it originally set to is now disabled, you might have problems. Certainly when my WLAN device was missing, I could not expand TV Servers and see my two DVBS2 cards to configure them.

The Previous attached picture was not clear. I have attached a wordpad,
    You can see better.

In fact there is no TV Server rather than no Tv Card :)

    thanks

No server is the problem I had with the networking before - do you have a firewall? Maybe turn that off temporarily and see if it helps...

    Hi!

mmmhhhh ... I'd have the same error some time ago ... as far as i remember ... after installation I renamed my PC where TV-Server was installed ... after renaming it back It works again

Not sure whether this is your problem ... but if you renamed your pc, give it a try

    Naich Thanks,

I've changed the computer name and de-install and reinstall everything (even MS SQL) but still no TV Server
    is displayed.

but in then error log there are following exceptions. Is there something wrong with persistency of the "found Cards data" ??
