I am using Mediaportal for over 4 years now and really appreciate the work of the whole community BUT i was not able to have a stable issuefree version running (ever) which makes me pretty desperate... i really hope that version 1.0 will fix some issues i have ... unfortunatly it does not... (even causes new errors)
Since i always had troubles with the TVserver i always used the old engine.. now i was going to try TVServer again since its available in a final version (1.0)
I did a very clean install of XP (sp3 included) with all the patches available up to 12.2008 and installed all latest drivers (latest BDA for skystar2 aswell)
1: When my wireless connection drops TV stops working and says something like "TVService not available". I tried to disable my network adapter but then TV stutters and only shows one frame every 2-3 seconds..
2: My favourite radiochannel does not start when booting mediaportal (checked the box next to the channel in Setup)... autostart (and autostart_fix) does not show any channels to start so this is not a solution!
3: MyRadio takes about 45 seconds to list my radio channels which is pretty annoying...
4: Some recorded movies (mpg) stutter during playback and stop after a half (seems random)
5: After intalling MediaPortal windows does not shut down properly anymore (it hangs showing the message "Shutting down the computer") even left it all night didnt shut down!
6: TVService sometimes uses way to much memory and slows down the computer haevily ... normal navigating in mediaportal is not possible!
Hopefully you have some hints to fix these problems... its really getting me down
i always have to becalm my family and tell them to restart the HTPC nearly every day for the last years... horrorable
(not blaming anyone just sad)
