Not to sound dumb, but what has been changed in the TSReader that does not allow comparability with H.264. Has the TSReader had a major re-work since 1.02.
TsReader always has issues ith certain h.264 decoders.
Getting MPC-HC supported broke support for divx h.264
getting divx h.264 supported broke MS DTV support
and so on and so on and so on.

This is why we do it properly now (which is a _lot_ of work) and add NALU to TsReader to ensure that such issues are history.
Yeah but the tv-server bugs seem to be quite hard to fix...
Actually it's the TsReader which causes big headaches to get a proper solution done with which all major h.264 codecs will be compatible with then.

Since not all developers are "able" to work on these changes, the others focus on fixing other issues and reworks (like the GUI and TvGuide speedups).

Will the new NALU Tsreader be integrated into RC1 / 1.1.0 final? Or is this just a playground and the relevant changes will be ported to "old" tsreader?
New TsReader will replace the old one in 1.1.0 RC1. This is why he are holding it back for so long.
    This is an essential rework/bugfix.

Maybe it's just too early in the morning but wtf is NALU???

    Network Abstraction Layer Unit :D

As a side note, we have just started the internal testing for the patches. Lets hope that no big issues are surfacing and there wont be any bigger delays (again).

one warning note for those who love MPC-HC H.264 decoder, we have found out that it contains random deadlock issue on some specific H.264 streams during seeking. We are trying to solve those with the MPC-HC developers, but until those are solved MPC-HC decoder is not recommended to be used with live nor recorded TV.

Don't know if this is the right discussion place but i've tested NALU yesterday (incl. Ambass' rework of seek handling) and seeking is going absolutely crazy for me. I'm not able to skip any specific time at all. When i try to skip X seconds than suddently it's some minute or minutes. When i skip the same X seconds back i'm again on a totally different position (and it takes about 5-10 seconds) and so on.... Another problem is that it takes a lot of time until i've audio again after skipping.

If i could help - please ask. Thanks!

As often said - it is ready when it is ready. Nobody knows when - even not the devs. Keep in mind that they don't know when they'll have spare time and also nobody knows how hard to fix the tv-server bugs are. There are also bugs where is unclear at the moment what you've to fix.

So stay calm and wait until it is released.

It is on 100% on TVServer - but who knows if new issues appear in the quality check or how long it takes. I am fine with my current installation, so please take your testing time!

edit: now new bugs are listed. strange!
