    AW: MediaPortal 1.1.0 RC1 - delayed

oh come on guys - don't cry here any longer for an RC1. Wait until it's ready it will not be faster if you write the same stuff every day.

that would just be the equivalent of downloading the latest snapshot and not using tv.

Not exactly, I don't use my htpc for tv viewing but I do have a large number of transport streams that i've aquired. So I rely on the tsreader for playback of those. Since it's not possible in mp to use another splitter.
just rename your *.ts files to *.mkv and MP will use tha haali splitter (if installed) and not TsReader.

Yeah I know about this workaround but it's not very wife or daughter friendly. Telling them they have to rename files just gets me moaned at lol. And renaming a few hundred of them while keeping track so they can then be renamed back later if needed is not ideal.

However I did seem to have it all working yesterday with the latest svn but my new ATI 5750 is driving me up the wall. I get audio stuttering/drop outs with h.264 .ts files via hdmi. No matter what codec combination I use. One day I'll have it working and zero stuttering the next day the dop outs are back. But if I use mpc's source filter it's fine. Very weird. It's all been checked with graphstudio too. So I'm just hoping the changes to tsreader that are being worked on will help. What's stranger still is that it's fine with my 4750 card! Just can't pin down the problem.

    lol ok let me rephrase:

Will there be an updated SVN anytime soon? That way people that don't use the TV-server can somehow use a completely finished RC1 without lacking tv-server components ;)

As it will take some time (weeks most likely) to get the TVE3 side to work correctly there is no quarantee that the next MP SVN build will be the same as the RC1 build (as it would be pretty unwise to delay any newly found, critical MP issues after RC1).

MS as compilers that are able to build the source for you.

What do you mean by this? I don't really understand what you're saying...

Will there be a new SVN soon anyway? I see quite a few important changes since the latest one (30-11). That's 18 days ago today while the forum says "every week on friday a new SVN will be released" :p

    Thanks!

... that's not really true, because the public SVN is only updated after a release ;-)

ok, sorry I was wrong - I was referring to sourceforge and didn't know, that the teamserver is also public now... so yes, it's just using a compiler ;-)

    Hi

Instead of be waiting to RC1.. thouse of you that know how to compile the svn, you can compile it , test and report any new issue or revert on funcionality ...(I do this everyday) I have already report several bugs that has help the developer to fix the issue that he was fixing...

That is the idea of OpenSource... Everyone can help on the proyect....

    Just a comment
