sadly both are tricky, and quite much work.
But the refreshrate changer is allready close to be resolved. The mtn fix will take some more time.

morphes_xx seems to have found the issue in the code.
Hopefully, he can clarify why this change was originally made.

How about the installer stuff, are they easy stuff that you just want to save untill you're done with the rest?
