one BIG problem. the link to the download page for 1.1.0 RC4 is simply an info page about RC4, not a download page. there is no download button/link for me to download!

I don't understand how all you guys are saying "good job" when you can't even download it.

all download links for 1.1.0 RC4 lead to

I also wish the mediaportal team wouldn't refer to mediaportal 2.x as a "beast" that needs to be "unleashed". that's really beneath human dignity and professionalism.

Actually I thought they were talking about Intelligent Frame Correction (IFC) as the beast, not MediaPortal 2

On the news-page, there is a heading near the bottom of the page: Finally the installer. The download link is there. Just tested it, and it works.
I agree that we should fix the download-page.

I also wish the mediaportal team wouldn't refer to mediaportal 2.x as a "beast" that needs to be "unleashed". that's really beneath human dignity and professionalism.

I am glad you could not download this great product, it is not intended for people like you. You should stick to your dvd player. This is your second not constructive post, and this community can live without your negativity.

I'm very glad that these developers put so much of there own spare time into this great product. Me and my wife and don't forget my kids are very happy with it. They can use one single system to do all the great things you normaly need multiple systems for and have a whole load of dvd's on a shelf. My son was very young at 3 and could already use this product to find all of his dvd's in the morning with this easy userinterface and watch tv on it as well. So i can sleep for another hour in the morning.

Stop complaining and help others and yourself in the forums if you cannot develop it yourself. But be positive!

Download link is there. People need to read the release note, it contains really important information and that is why the download link is "hidden".

Also please note that when you download & install a release candidate you are volunteering into a software testing process.

I upgraded from v1.0.2 to 1.1.0 RC4. It wiped out my settings requiring me to set everything up again
