Mediaportal hotfix 1.1.3 has been released to solve this problem...

BUT be aware that all your settings and plugins are LOST when you do so!!! I just installed 1.1.3 and sure I selected to UPDATE the current installation.. but low and behold all the plugins and skins I downloaded the last few months are now gone!.. I do not call this a HOTFIX..

How do you say that.. Operation successfull, but patient died!!...

I do not know how it is with my carefully assembled backdrops and thumbnails for my movies and music, but I fear the worst (not checked yet.. not able to, because the plugins are gone!!)

I see that the files are available in a backup, but this doesnt help me much, becase when copying them to the folder, doesnt mean they are properly attached to the new database...

Heavily frustrated I am..

I can't confirm this. Everything worked just fine as it should...

Hi folks,

On my dedicated MP server, win7 sp1, I cannot select upgrade for this hotfix. Only clean install is available. Am I doing something wrong?

OK.. I took a while but I got everything back by installing the plugins and then copying-pasting the old databases and thumbs directory from the backup folder and click REPLACE when asked for.

After that watched a funny movie to relax a bit.. So I am good again, sorry for the harsh language guys..
