AW: MediaPortal 1.2.2 RELEASED!

Just to be sure.

Is 1.2.2 plugin compatible to 1.2.0 or should we expect plugins to stop working after upgrade?

Thanks.

    I can't find a tag for this release in the git repository yet. Start up troubles with git or am I overlooking something?

    I am 99.9% sure that you choosen "clean install" (default option) instead of "upgrade" in the first screen of the installer.

    All your old MediaPortal folders are still there, just renamed to MediaPortal_backup

    "C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal_backup"

    AW: Re: MediaPortal 1.2.2 RELEASED!

    Hi
    Just upgraded and all my settings are gone !!
    Did you read the release notes? If you are upgrading from 1.2.x all should work as before. If you are upgrading from any older version all plugins and skins did not work any more and needs to be replaced by compatible ones...

    Is there a way to get back to same configurations as before installation ??
    If you had made a backup then yes. If you are not wise enough to do such just before Christmas then it depends on how you installed 1.2.2. If you are lucky and don't make everything wrong you could do, then there is a backup- folder in both Team Mediaportal Folders (C:\Program Files and C:\Program Data) There you can find all your plugins, skins datatbases,...
    Just copy them back and you are on same as before settings...

    I'm not sure if I choosed a clean install or update, I really dont remember.

    But as you said back up is there.
    What do I have to do now to get everything as it was before ??

    Rename "C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal" -> "C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal_122"
    Rename "C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal_backup" -> "C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal"

    Try and start MP. :)
