Thank you Lehmden. So does MP2 installation adds a second Windows Service? Would be enough to disable TV Service of MP1?

    Hi.
So does MP2 installation adds a second Windows Service?
MP2 adds only one service, the main MP2 server. The TV engine is running as a plugin inside the MP2 server, so no extra TV server is added.

Would be enough to disable TV Service of MP1?
On the server side, yes. But you also should have an eye on the "tray Icon" apps. Both, MP1 and MP2 comes with a little tool to start MP by the "green button" on the remote. So you manually need to stop/disable the one you did not want to use. If not, both MP versions are started at the same time, not that good...

Hi All I am now using a upnp router and I could now detect (after a long time) and attached it to the server when I start the client it takes a very long time for it to connect to the server as you can't go straight in to TV you have to wait for the extra tiles to appear and then TV works. It seems to be a very slow experience with the client bringing up the tv guide etc is very painful. and sometimes it will only play audio and no video. Theres got to be something not right there were using ipv6 when i pinged the server but ive disabled it on the server now as my router isn't ipv6 so im not sure whats happening there. Can someone look at my logs and help me out. thank all :)

    Hi.
At first try it without MD*** as this forum did not support anything in this direction. We even did not talk about it.

Then, IPv6 has to be working on each and any components if this should work. So as your router isn't IPv6 you need to disable it everywhere.

    Logs always help.

Also, lets be sure your server and or client are configured for the right IP's.
Bind the ip address to MP2

    Settings
    General
    Connectivity
    IP address Binding.
Choose the one on the same net as the server
