I suggest you have a look at the Atmowin Software http://www.vdr-wiki.de/wiki/index.php/AtmoWin or here http://www.primacom.net/~w6533344/
It seems as if it already supports DMX hardware otherwise atmowin should be easily extendable as the sources are available.
If Atmowin works you can use my MediaPortal plugin to use your Hardware directly from within MP.

Paintpack uses AmbiBox
