Hi, I'm trying to get my Twinhan 1020a satellite card (DVB-S) setup with MediaPortal. I'm only interested in trying to get the FTA channels working (the green labelled channels). I've been following this guide from Jason on post #4 but as you can ready below MediaPortal continues to crash: Satellite and FTA Forums I have a Twinhan 1020 tuner board and I have the BDA drivers installed from the Twinhan website. The DVB-S tuner functions as it works in Mytheatre but as of late I have obsession to consolidate all my media applications into MediaPortal. Unfortunately the last remaining media application (Satellite tunning) is giving me a lot of grief and kept me up untill 1:00 am last night. I have followed the instructions in post#4 in link above but still I can't get this to work. As soon as I do the Channel setup step and click on "Scan for Channels" button the application shows the first transponder it wants to scan and then soon after in about less then 1 minute the TVSetup application will crash. When I look into the MDAPIFilter log file it shows it is trying to load FDECSA.dll and as soo as it loads this dll it will cause a memory access violation. The TVSetup tries to access the dll several times after but then I guess it ends up crashing. I have installed MediaPortal 1.0 from: MEDIAPORTAL - free media center - MediaPortal Downloads Then I upgraded to the snapshot of 21864: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/un...864-rar-56026/ I believe I used MDAPIFilter 2.6.0 which I downloaded as a .zip package with the InstallFilter.cmd included. This package isntalls and registers all components for you. Here is my setup: - Twinhan 1020a DVB-S - BDA drivers for XP they work in MyTheatre - MediaPortal 1.0 RCx (latest from site) - Mediaportal snapshot (Media app and TVServer 3, latest from site). - MDAPIFilter 2.6.0 (can't remember the link now, its very hard to find this) - Diseq 1.2 switch Maybe my LNB, band settings are incorrect but the log file clearly points to FDECSA.dll as the culprit. I even tried using Mytheatre's FDECSA.dll but that didn't work either. Looks like Mediaportal doesn't support this natively and if that is the case its disapointing. Microsoft is about to take MCE up a notch with Windows 7 and Fiji by providing native DVB-S support in MCE, hope those guys at Team MediaPortal can start looking into providing native satellite support.
